Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a variety of activities to enhance the quality of lives for clients at Fulton State Hospital.
- Provide academic screenings and education groups.
- Facilitate rehabilitative groups.
- Offer case management services.
- Provide input about individual clients to the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Current, valid teacher certification issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- Certification in special education (preferred)
- 2 years of professional teaching experience as a special education teacher (preferred)
Qualifications
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
Skills
Knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requirements.
