Department: Migrant Education – Research Foundation, SUNY New Paltz

About the role

The Field Specialist will coordinate and deliver instructional and academic services to migrant school-age and out-of-school youth in Orange County, build partnerships with school districts and community organizations, and support program development and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide direct instructional and academic services to Orange County migrant school-age and out-of-school youth
  • Build collaboration and partnerships with school districts, public service agencies, and community organizations
  • Recruit and facilitate student participation in local, regional, and statewide activities
  • Participate in community and school functions to coordinate and enhance services to youth
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the program workplan

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with outreach
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet-based systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in education
  • Knowledgeable of community resources
  • Experience working with immigrant/migrant families and youth
  • Self-starter

Pay

Annual salary range: $55,500 – $56,500
