Education Specialist

FUNCTION

To provide oversight and support to the after-school program, summer enrichment program and children at The Salvation Army of Northern Kentucky. Visitations to local schools and provide mentoring to children.

• Spearhead licensing process for ASP & SEP through Commonwealth of Kentucky
• Remain in compliance with Kentucky Child Care Standards of Practice
• Support outreach/evangelistic opportunities
• Report statistics to Corps Officers and DHQ (Program Department)
• Connect after school and summer enrichment program families to corps ministries
• Plan family activities to bridge community to corps programs for children
• Maintain kitchen and feeding program recording to health department standards
• Receives and maintains food inventory for meals / menu assisting with the preparation of menus and serving of meals
• Ensure the after-school program meets the program standards set forth by DHQ
• Support outreach/evangelistic opportunities
• Report statistics to Corps Officers and DHQ (Program Department)
• Connect after school and summer enrichment program families to corps ministries
• Plan family activities to bridge community to corps programs for children
• Maintain kitchen and feeding program recording to health department standards
