About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) seeks an experienced, innovative, and driven Education Services Specialist to support the 460th Force Squadron (FSS) at Buckley Space Force Base (SFB) in Aurora, CO. This is a Term position.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, administer, and advise on Education and Training Flight's (ET&F) academic opportunities, tuition assistance program, career and force development programs, and other education and training services and activities.
- Support military members, retirees, Department of Defense (DoD) civilian members, and their families with educational needs.
Requirements
This is a Term position, and current Federal civilian employees may apply. A break in service of at least 3 calendar days may be required prior to appointment. Relocation Incentive Authorized. Salary Range is $40,332 - $96,116 Annually based on experience.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
- Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component.
- Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
- Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
- Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues.
- Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
- Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.

- Must meet the positive education requirements as stipulated by US OPM for the 1740 occupation series.
Pay
$40,332 - $96,116 Annually based on experience.
