About the role
The Education and Outreach Specialist serves as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the southern Trillium counties on the East coast of North Carolina. This is a community-based position and candidates must reside in New Hanover County. You must be willing to travel within all regional counties.
Responsibilities
- Attend community events that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Provide support to the team by attending community events
- Connect individuals to vital resources
- Advance the shared goal of helping people reach their full potential
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Maintain valid NC driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
Qualifications
- Experience with the unhomed population and/or community-based experience preferred
Skills
- Working relationships with community referrals
- Able to manage multiple projects
- Great attention to detail
