About the role
Full-Time position in Chesterland, OH. Monday–Friday during school hours. Assignment covers the period while the regular education aide is on leave.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers in delivering instruction
- Assist students individually or in small groups
- Monitor student behavior and assist with classroom management
- Provide exposure to multiple grade levels (PreK–12 opportunities)
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administration
- Assist students with academic tasks, assignments, and classroom activities
- Provide support for students with special needs, as directed by teachers or IEPs
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and report observations to teachers
- Support school-wide initiatives and classroom routines
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may prefer college coursework or experience)
- Education Aide License with the Ohio Department of Education
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, reliability, and passion for supporting student success
