Education - Adjunct Pool
About the role
Hartwick College is accepting applications on a continuing basis for qualified instructors to serve as student teaching supervisors in the Education Department. Qualified applicants must possess a master’s degree in Education or a closely related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of successful teaching and/or school-based leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Support and evaluate teacher candidates during field placements through regular school visits, observation, and feedback.
- Conduct six formal teaching observations per student teacher each semester.
- Maintain communication with cooperating teachers and college faculty.
- Submit required evaluation documentation in a timely manner.
Requirements
This position requires availability during regular public-school hours, typically Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. All supervision responsibilities are conducted face-to-face in local school settings; therefore, remote applications will not be considered. Student teaching supervisors are responsible for their own transportation to assigned field placements.
Qualifications
This adjunct pool will be used on an as-needed basis as opportunities arise. Applications will remain active for up to two years.

Pay
$900 per student teacher supervised + mileage (calculated at the current year federal rate).

Availability during regular public-school hours, typically Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
