Education Adjunct

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in education that prepare students for careers in early care and education settings or for transfer into baccalaureate programs.
• Teach courses including Foundations of Education, Foundations of Exceptional Education, Teaching in a Diverse Society, Human Growth and Development, Classroom and Behavioral Management, and Health, Safety, and Nutrition Education.
• Teach in a combination of day and evening classes in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats on either the Chester or Midlothian campus of the college.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting the agency or state government in emergencies.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Education, or equivalent, from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the teaching field.
• A minimum of two years of related occupational experience, with strong current knowledge of best practices in the field.
• Proven expertise in education.
• Relevant college-level teaching experience with a diverse student population.
• Training/certification to teach online and hybrid courses.
• Experience in the use of interactive instructional technologies in the classroom and online.
• Operation of a State Vehicle.

Qualifications
