EDP Manager
The National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) is recruiting for two Research Fellow positions to work on a project for the research study on "Macroeconomic Modelling of Oil Price Shocks on Indian Economy" with NITI AAYOG. The position is initially for six months, renewal subject to performance and fund availability.
About the role
As a Research Fellow, you will contribute to the development and analysis of macroeconomic models that assess the impact of oil price shocks on the Indian economy. You will collaborate with a team of economists and policy analysts to produce high-quality research reports and presentations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on macroeconomic models and their applications
- Develop and analyze data-driven models to simulate the effects of oil price shocks on various economic indicators
- Collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders to refine and validate models
- Prepare research reports and present findings at internal and external meetings
- Participate in the preparation of policy briefs and recommendations based on research outcomes
Requirements
- PhD in Economics or a related field with a strong focus on macroeconomics
- At least 2 years of relevant research experience
- Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex quantitative models
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with statistical software such as R, Python, or MATLAB

Skills
