EDM Programmer/Set Up/Operator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Wire EDM Setup Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machines and possess a strong understanding of machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform raw material verification, machine setup, and all necessary adjustments to produce a first piece to customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while complying with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure Decimal Engineering’s Workmanship Standards are met throughout the production run.
• Verify Job Traveler and SFM documentation at the beginning and conclusion of each production run.
• Oversee and ensure daily operator maintenance schedules are properly completed.
• Handle dissimilar materials properly for recycling.
• Maintain, store, and identify all fixtures correctly.
• Verify runtimes, setup documentation, and Job Traveler accuracy to meet on-time delivery commitments.
• Work a flexible schedule to maintain on-time delivery of product.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English and read/understand work instructions written in English.
• Hearing correctable to normal and vision corrected to 20/30 or better.
• Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with CAD software for programming purposes such as ESPRIT, Shop Floor, or Camworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of machining processes including milling, tooling, and electrical discharge machining.
