Editor (Remote - Orlando, FL)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Editor to join our Orlando team. This entry-level position involves editing and proofreading investigative reports and tailoring them to client-specific requests. The role offers room for advancement, with training provided and a culture of internal promotion. Overtime may be required to complete essential functions, but travel is unlikely.

Responsibilities

• Review, proofread, and edit investigative reports for content and confirm client objectives are met.
• Review investigative video and audio footage sent in by field investigators.
• Contact investigators or regional case managers for clarification and details regarding reports.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a thorough knowledge of principles of composition and grammar.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and take direction from multiple adjusters.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others to achieve common goals.
• Adaptability, initiative, dependability, and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding proprietary information.
• Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to understand written and oral communication, communicate clearly and accurately, and prepare reports and correspondence.
• Competent personal computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, email, and routine database activity; ability to type 50 WPM.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent, and arrive at meetings and appointments on time.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or Communications preferred.
