ED Utilization Management RN

Job Description

Maintains open communications and builds collaborative relationships with ED providers, ED staff, and primary care providers.

Maintains proper identification of patients at the point of service throughout the care continuum.

Assists ED staff with understanding and utilization of benefits enhancement.

• Strong business communication skills to resolve issues and communicate with internal and external parties

• Microsoft office suite of applications experience
• Excellent time management skills to effectively navigate in fast-paced work environment with time constraints in place
• Ability to interact effectively with providers and other health care professionals
• Strong clinical skills to evaluate severity of disease state
• Discharge planning knowledge

Education

• Associate's of Nursing
• Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred)

Field Of Study

• N/A

Work Experience

• 1+ Utilization Management or Care Management experience (Preferred)
• 3+ acute care and/or emergency department experience (Required)
• 3+ years related experience (Required)

Additional Information

• 3/12 hour shifts per week (weekends included)

Pay Range

• $32.76 - $57.47

Background Screening Requirement

• Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
