Job Summary
You will provide crucial support and direct patient care in the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient operations and compassionate assistance during critical moments.
Responsibilities
- Takes vital signs, height and weight.
- Records on appropriate charting form.
- Reports observations regarding patient's status to the registered nurse.
- Identifies and responds to urgent/emergent situations.
- Aids in patient admission, transfer or discharge.
- Moves, lifts, ambulates and transports patients safely.
- Aids physicians and nursing staff with assigned procedures.
Requirements
- Required: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA:CA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT:CA), National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), Orthopaedic Technologist Certified (OTC), Orthopedic Technologist Registered (ROT), Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR).
- PREFERRED: Acute Care experience.
