ED Tech - Emergency Department - Full Time

The Emergency Department at Montrose Regional Health is a Level III Trauma Center staffed 24 hours per day by Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and RNs who are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and in Trauma Care.

About the role

Performs and assists with comprehensive care of patients in the emergency department. Administers certain classes of emergency medications in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Scope of Practice for Paramedics in the State of Colorado. This position functions under the direct supervision of the Emergency Department Physician, who will be named "Emergency Department Paramedic Medical Director".

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with comprehensive care of patients in the emergency department
• Administers certain classes of emergency medications in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Scope of Practice for Paramedics in the State of Colorado
• Functions under the direct supervision of the Emergency Department Physician (Emergency Department Paramedic Medical Director)

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent with one (1) year experience in acute Hospital setting or in ambulance preferred.

Qualifications

• Current EMB B with IV skills
• EMT I
• Paramedic
• LPN license
