About the role

The Emergency Department/Acute Care Technician (EDAT) is a staff position responsible for providing basic technical patient care skills under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

  • Works in close collaboration with an assigned RN to provide safe and quality patient care.
  • Functions under the direction of the RN.

Qualifications

  • High School, GED, Cert, Trn, Exper.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Emergency Medical Technician.
  • Paramedic.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
  • BLS required.
  • Additional qualifications:
    • Paramedic, or Licensed Practical Nurse, or Emergency Medical Technician-EMT (if hired at BHSF prior to 2012 or at least 2 years of experience) or Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA (if hired at BHSF prior to 2012).
    • PALS (per entity standard).

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $17.79 - $26.03 / hour depending on experience.
