About the role
The Emergency Department/Acute Care Technician (EDAT) is a staff position responsible for providing basic technical patient care skills under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
Responsibilities
- Works in close collaboration with an assigned RN to provide safe and quality patient care.
- Functions under the direction of the RN.
Qualifications
- High School, GED, Cert, Trn, Exper.
- Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Emergency Medical Technician.
- Paramedic.
- Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
- BLS required.
- Additional qualifications:
- Paramedic, or Licensed Practical Nurse, or Emergency Medical Technician-EMT (if hired at BHSF prior to 2012 or at least 2 years of experience) or Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA (if hired at BHSF prior to 2012).
- PALS (per entity standard).

Estimated pay range for this position is $17.79 - $26.03 / hour depending on experience.
