About the role

The ED Tech position is a full-time nursing support role in the Hospital Emergency Department (ER).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care relevant to the age and developmental level of the patient.
• Work independently as part of a team while ensuring the highest levels of safety and patient experience.
• Identify patient needs and provide care in a team environment.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff.
• Monitor patients for changes in their condition and collect essential patient care information.
• Work within the Clinical Nursing Team to provide essential functions to patient care.
• Keep neat records and prepare reports in a timely manner.
• Use superb organizational skills when managing supplies and equipment.
• Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year in healthcare.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods; manual dexterity for handling equipment and performing patient care tasks; visual and auditory acuity to assess patient conditions and communicate effectively; capacity to respond quickly to emergent situations and perform physical tasks as needed.
