About the Role
Join the growing BILH team at Beverly Hospital, a Level III Trauma Center, Gold Stroke Certified, and Emergent Percutaneous Cardiac Intervention Center located in Beverly, MA. The Emergency Department serves as the primary point of entry for patients accessing these services and is staffed 24/7 with Emergency Medicine Board Certified Physicians, Mid-Level Clinicians, and a Children’s Hospital Emergency Physician during prime hours.
The department features 33 private exam rooms across 3 separate zones, including 2 major trauma rooms, 6 negative pressure rooms, pediatric rooms, a fast-track area, and a 10-bed secured behavioral health area. The ED handles a wide range of emergencies, such as cardiac, pediatric, OBGYN, orthopedic, and respiratory cases. Security is stationed in the waiting area, and a 3-room triage staffed 24/7 by a nurse (and a medical provider during prime hours) supports rapid interventions and medical screenings. Ancillary staff includes ED Technicians, Administrative Associates, Mental Health Technicians, and Security. Behavioral health emergencies are supported by BILH Crisis Screeners and Recovery Coach Supports.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care in a Level III Trauma Center with specialized zones for trauma, pediatrics, behavioral health, and fast-track patients.
- Triage ambulatory patients using the ESI acuity system.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, mid-level clinicians, technicians, and behavioral health specialists.
- Deliver care in a department equipped to handle cardiac, pediatric, OBGYN, orthopedic, and respiratory emergencies.
Requirements
- Emergency Nursing experience required.
- MA RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
- PALS certification can be obtained after hire.
- TNCC preferred; can be obtained after hire.
- Telemetry experience preferred.
- BSN preferred.
As a condition of employment, all staff must be vaccinated against influenza (flu). This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Benefits are offered for any hours over 20 per week.
Pay
The base hourly wage range for this position is $37.00 - $84.71. Compensation is governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
