ED Customer Service Specialist (Part Time/Day Shift)
About the role
and put that summary paragraph. Then "Responsibilities:" heading with list of duties. The posting includes many duties after "Qualified individuals must have the ability...". Those are duties. We'll put them as- each.
Then "Minimum Required Qualifications:" heading with list: High School Diploma or equivalent GED; One 1 year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience in a highly customer-oriented organization; One 1 year experience with basic keyboarding, personal computer use, and other office setting equipment. We'll put under
Requirements
maybe? The instruction says use headings like Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We have both Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications. Could combine under "Qualifications". But we have separate sections: "Minimum Required Qualifications:" and "Preferred Qualifications:". We could put underQualifications
with two sublists? But instruction: usefor section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have both Requirements and Qualifications sections. Requirements for minimum required; Qualifications for preferred. We'll do that. Then "Preferred Qualifications:" list: One 1 year of registration experience, point of service collection, insurance validation, understanding of compliance regulatory guidelines; Previous Epic or equivalent Electronic Medical Record experience. Then benefits: The posting includes "We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees. Our employee benefits programs help our employees get healthy and stay healthy. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits program that includes one of the finest prepaid tuition assistance programs in the region." That's benefits content. Also mention "Penn Medicine employees are actively engaged and committed to our mission." Not a benefit. We'll include Benefits section with that paragraph. Pay: The posting includes "$1.50/hour extra ED Registration Premium Pay". Also maybe base pay not given. So we have Pay info: extra premium pay. We'll include Pay section with that sentence. Schedule: The posting includes "Location: Lancaster, PA (Lancaster General Hospital Emergency Department ) Hours: Monday-Friday between 6:45 am and 3:15 pm. Every other weekend. Every other holiday. Must be able to complete full time day shift training the first week of employment." That's schedule info. We'll include Schedule section. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate like EEO etc. Also remove navigation etc. The posting includes "Live Your Life's Work" and "We are an Equal Opportunity employer..." which is EEO boilerplate; remove. Also remove duplicated lines. We need to preserve all substantive information. Ensure we include location? The location is part of schedule? Could be separate but we have no heading for location. Could include location in Schedule paragraph or maybe in About the role. Since we have no specific heading for location, we can include it in Schedule paragraph. We must not invent or summarize away detail. Keep exact phrasing where possible. Let's extract exact sentences. About the role: The initial paragraph: "Penn Medicine is dedicated to our tripartite mission of providing the highest level of care to patients, conducting innovative research, and educating future leaders in the field of medicine. Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines. Today at Penn Medicine, someone will make a breakthrough. Someone will heal a heart, deliver hopeful news, and give comfort and reassurance. Our employees shape our future each day. Are you living your life's work?" That's substantive. We'll keep as paragraph. Then "Position Summary: Provides complete and accurate patient identification, arrival, registration, insurance verification and visitor management within the Emergency Department. Capable of coordinating and communicating effectively during increased volumes, with complex patients or medical social situations." We'll include that as part of About the role maybe separate paragraph. But we already have About the role paragraph; we can add another paragraph after. Responsibilities: list of duties after "Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties:" then each duty line. We'll capture each line as
- . Need to ensure we capture all duties. We need to keep the last line as a duty? It's secondary duties. We'll include as
- The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above: Other duties as assigned. Now Requirements (minimum): list: - High School Diploma or equivalent GED . - One 1 year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience in a highly customer-oriented organization. - One 1 year experience with basic keyboarding, personal computer use, and other office setting equipment. Note there is a space before period after GED. We'll keep as is. Preferred Qualifications: - One 1 year of registration experience, point of service collection, insurance validation, understanding of compliance regulatory guidelines. - Previous Epic or equivalent Electronic Medical Record experience. Benefits: paragraph: "We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees. Our employee benefits programs help our employees get healthy and stay healthy. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits program that includes one of the finest prepaid tuition assistance programs in the region. Penn Medicine employees are actively engaged and committed to our mission. Together we will continue to make medical advances that help people live longer, healthier lives." Actually the last sentence is part of benefits? It's more mission. But we can include as part of benefits paragraph. However we should not include boilerplate like EEO. This is fine. Pay: "$1.50/hour extra ED Registration Premium Pay". Also maybe mention that it's extra pay. We'll keep that sentence. Schedule: "Location: Lancaster, PA (Lancaster General Hospital Emergency Department ) Hours: Monday-Friday between 6:45 am and 3:15 pm. Every other weekend. Every other holiday. Must be able to complete full time day shift training the first week of employment." We need to ensure we don't include any boilerplate like "Live Your Life's Work" (that's tagline but maybe part of About the role? It's in the description after mission? Actually appears after mission paragraph: "Are you living your life's work?" That's part of About the role. Then later "Live Your Life's Work" appears as a heading? Actually after benefits: "Live Your Life's Work We are an Equal Opportunity employer..." That's boilerplate; we should remove "Live Your Life's Work" as it's likely a tagline but could be considered part of mission? Safer to remove it as it's not substantive detail? It's a phrase but could be considered part of the posting. However instruction: Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. "Live Your Life's Work" is not exactly boilerplate but could be considered a tagline; but it's not essential info like duties. Might be considered fluff. Safer to remove it. Also remove "We are an Equal Opportunity employer..." etc. Now produce HTML fragment. Structure:
- ... ...
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED .
- One 1 year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience in a highly customer-oriented organization.
- One 1 year experience with basic keyboarding, personal computer use, and other office setting equipment.
