About the role

We are currently seeking an Ecotoxicology Laboratory Technician for our Hunt Valley, MD office. Our facility has dedicated areas for receiving and storing test materials, constant photoperiod and temperature-controlled laboratories, environmental chambers, aeration distribution manifolds in all laboratories, and freshwater and saltwater distribution lines for continuous flow or renewal testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory manipulations and water quality measurements.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and document all laboratory activities and data.
  • Work with, and carefully handle, small aquatic organisms.

Requirements

  • AA degree (BS preferred) or HS diploma or GED and two years of related experience.
  • General knowledge of biological/chemical laboratory procedures and practices.
  • Practical experience working with live organisms.
  • Ability to work well with other people on common goals and projects.
  • Physical and mental capacity to perform laboratory manipulations and water quality measurements with an attention to timeliness, accuracy, and detail.
  • Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer (this position requires specific driving duties).

Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen.

Pay

$41,600—$47,840 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary.
