Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Ecotoxicologist for our Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice to be based in our Natick, MA office. In this role, you will work as part of a team focusing on complex ecotoxicological issues at the forefront of emerging contaminants and chemicals of concern, providing high-level technical support on existing projects and business development efforts in the Biological and Ecological Sciences Practice.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize technical information and apply creative and critical thinking to prepare and review reports and technical presentations
• Manage data and conduct statistical data analysis
• Develop and maintain professional status by authoring peer-reviewed publications and participating in technical conferences and activities of professional societies
• Work collaboratively on projects with other members of the Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice and interdisciplinary groups from other Exponent practices as appropriate

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Ecotoxicology, Environmental Toxicology, Freshwater Ecology, Marine Ecology, Applied Ecology, Environmental Science, Marine Sciences, or related field
• Excellent technical background in biology, ecology, ecotoxicology, and environmental chemistry
• Experience in aquatic (marine, estuarine or freshwater) systems
• Strong understanding of U.S. environmental regulations
• High proficiency with data analysis and statistics, graphical presentation of data, data management and analysis using Excel, and a programming language (e.g., R or Python)
• Capable of managing tasks of moderate scope and complexity
• Able to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines, and communicate within multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated ability in written and oral communications
• Strong commitment to personal development

Compensation

Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Associate and Senior Associate level, total compensation includes base salary, bi-weekly bonuses for high-intensity efforts, annual bonus and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary. The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process. Salary Range USD $92,000.00 - USD $112,000.00 /Yr.
