We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. Must not repeat job title. Must not include Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate. Must preserve all substantive info. We need to parse the posting. Key info: - Company: - About the role: description of joining Fed, role in national economy, etc. Could be first paragraph: "When you join the Federal Reserve System, you'll play a key role in the national economy, collaborating with leading professionals to strengthen our economy, protect financial stability, and support critical payments systems. We invest in contemporary and emerging technology each year to support the Federal Reserve and our economy, and we're building a dynamic and diverse team for our future." Remote Eligible: No. Relocation Assistance: Yes. Salary ranges. Citizenship requirements. Screening requirements. Also "About The KC Fed Total Rewards & Benefits" but not detailed. We have salary info. Also maybe benefits like relocation assistance, remote flexibility. - Pay: Salary: $132,200 – $171,100 / Economist; $167,900 – $217,300 / Senior Economist. Also note final offers determined by factors. - Schedule: "On-site, full-time with 5 days per month remote work flexibility." Also maybe "Full Time / Part Time Full time". So schedule: Full-time, on-site with 5 days per month remote. We must not include sections with placeholder like "commensurate with experience". We have actual content. We must not include duplicated lines. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. The posting includes EEO statement at end; we should remove that. Also remove "Always verify and apply to jobs..." etc. Also remove "Privacy Notice". Also remove "Follow us on LinkedIn..." etc. Also remove "About The KC Fed Total Rewards & Benefits" heading if no detail; but we have some benefits info under Additional Information. We could create a Benefits section with relocation assistance, remote flexibility, maybe mention total rewards but not detailed. We'll include only what we have. We must not invent or summarize away detail. Preserve all substantive info. So we need to include all bullet points from responsibilities, qualifications, etc. We need to use

for section headings. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use

for prose. We must not repeat job title as heading. So no heading for "Economist". Good. We must not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. We need to output only HTML fragment. Let's structure:

    About the role

When you join the Federal Reserve System, you'll play a key role in the national economy, collaborating with leading professionals to strengthen our economy, protect financial stability, and support critical payments systems. We invest in contemporary and emerging technology each year to support the Federal Reserve and our economy, and we're building a dynamic and diverse team for our future. The Economic Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City seeks to hire a new or experienced Ph.D. economist with research interests in the macro-financial dimensions of payment systems—including payment and settlement infrastructure, stablecoins and digital assets, wholesale and interbank settlement, and the role of payments in monetary policy transmission and financial stability. The Bank offers excellent resources and support to economists, including a collaborative work environment, high-quality research assistants, a high-performance computing environment, and an in-house Federal Statistical Research Data Center (KC FSRDC).

    Responsibilities

    • Provides policy advice to the Bank's President, Board of Directors, and senior Bank management on payment systems, banking, and monetary policy issues, current economic and financial conditions, staff outlook, and regional conditions.
    • Conducts research on the macro-financial dimensions of payment systems and related monetary/financial topics, presents research at conferences, and publishes in top general and field journals in economics and finance.
    • Writes articles for Bank publications—including the Economic Review, The Macro Bulletin, The Main Street Economist, the Research Working Paper series, and Payments System Research Briefings—based on original research on complex, policy-relevant topics.
    • Presents research and Bank perspectives on payment systems and the economic outlook to banking, business, and professional audiences; demonstrates an ability to translate technical research for non-academic audiences.
    • Provides feedback on colleagues' research informally at conferences and seminars, and formally through referee reports.
    • Participates in training and mentoring of junior staff, directing work and explaining economic concepts and analytical techniques.
    • Actively participates in department activities and policy discussions, contributing to the department's intellectual environment.
    • Performs most assignments independently, with guidance from the supervising officer or Director of Research as needed.
    • Uses superior knowledge of economic theory, econometrics, and payment systems to produce rigorous research and sound policy briefings.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Doctorate in Economics or Finance.
    • Research focus or strong demonstrated interest in the macro-financial aspects of payment systems (e.g., market infrastructure, stablecoins, digital assets, wholesale settlement, monetary policy transmission).
    • Superior knowledge of economic theory, econometrics, and statistics; state-of-the-art training comparable to top Ph.D.-granting departments.
    • Strong potential to publish in leading journals and become a recognized leader in the field.
    • Superior computer, statistical, and programming skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical research to policymakers and general audiences.
We could also have a Skills section but it's overlapping with qualifications. The instruction: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Could combine Skills into Qualifications. But we could separate if we have distinct content. However qualifications already includes computer/programming and communication skills. So maybe we don't need separate Skills. Benefits: we have relocation assistance, remote work flexibility (5 days per month), location Kansas City, MO. Also maybe "On-site, full-time with 5 days per month remote work flexibility." That's schedule though. Benefits could be relocation assistance. Also maybe "Total Rewards & Benefits" but not detailed. We'll include relocation assistance. Pay: Salary ranges. Schedule: On-site, full-time with 5 days per month remote work flexibility. We must not include sections with placeholder like "not specified". We have actual. Thus:

    Benefits

    • Relocation assistance available.
    • On-site, full-time position with 5 days per month remote work flexibility.
    • Located in Kansas City, MO.
But note remote flexibility is also schedule; but we can keep in Benefits or Schedule. To avoid duplication, maybe put remote flexibility under Schedule, and relocation assistance under Benefits. However the text says "On-site, full-time with 5 days per month remote work flexibility." That's schedule. We'll put schedule section. Thus Benefits: Relocation assistance only. Schedule: On-site, full-time with 5 days per month remote work flexibility. Location Kansas City, MO. Pay: Salary ranges. We also have citizenship requirements and screening requirements. Those could be under Requirements? Could be a separate section like "Requirements" for eligibility. But we have Qualifications already. Could add a Requirements section for citizenship and screening. However the instruction: include a section ONLY when posting has real specific content. We have citizenship requirements and screening requirements. So we can make a section "Requirements" (or "Eligibility") but the allowed headings list includes Requirements. So we can use

    Requirements

    for citizenship and screening. Thus:

    Requirements

    • Position requires access to confidential supervisory information and/or Federal Open Market Committee information; limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined by regulation (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent resident aliens eligible for and seeking U.S. citizenship within requisite timeframes and with at least three years residency from date of legal entry).
    • Non-U.S. citizens may be eligible if they sign a declaration of intent to become a U.S. citizen and meet other eligibility requirements; may be sponsored for work visa and permanent residence.
    • All candidates must undergo applicable background checks and comply with information handling rules; non-U.S. citizens must sign a declaration of intent to become a U.S. citizen and pursue a path to citizenship.
    • Additional screening requirements (education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, reference checks) initiated at offer acceptance; can take up to a couple months; continued employment contingent on acceptable results.
We must ensure we don't repeat info already elsewhere. This is distinct. Now we need to ensure we don't include boilerplate like "About The KC Fed Total Rewards & Benefits" etc. We removed. Check for any other substantive info: JEL classifications and keywords maybe not needed as they are metadata but could be considered part of About the role? They are not duties/requirements etc. Could be omitted as they are not substantive for job description? The instruction: preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. JEL classifications and keywords are substantive? They are more like tags. Might be considered metadata but still part of posting. However they are not about role, responsibilities, qualifications, etc. Could be included in About the role as a note? But we might omit as they are not clearly duties. The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; but also says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. It's ambiguous. I'd include them maybe in About the role as a sentence: "JEL classifications: E42 – Payment Systems; E58 – Central Banks and Their Policies; G21 – Banks; Depository Institutions; G23 – Non-bank Financial Institutions; Financial Instruments. Keywords: Payment Systems and Financial Market Infrastructure, Wholesale and Interbank Settlement, Monetary Policy Implementation, Digital Assets and Stablecoins." That is substantive. Add to About the role paragraph. Also note "Please attach the following with your application: CV Recent research papers Experienced candidates - the names and contact information of at least three references. New or recent Ph.D. candidates - three letters of recommendation. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Note: You will not be able to attach documents after application submission." This is application instructions, which we must remove per instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EE
