Economic Empowerment - AmeriCorps VISTA

About the role

The Economic Empowerment VISTA will make meaningful contributions to IRC Denver’s Economic Empowerment programs, advancing our work supporting both near and long-term outcomes of stabilization, poverty reduction, and community integration for refugees and asylees.

Responsibilities

• Drafting programmatic policies and procedures for review by IRC staff
• Researching and assisting in the development of frameworks to monitor programs and outcomes
• Developing resource-mapping systems
• Designing surveys or other client feedback tools
• Reviewing client feedback to increase agency understanding of and ability to be responsive to the communities being served
• Helping further develop systems and monitoring tools
• Evaluating current programs, analyzing data to capture unmet client needs or unreached clients
• Developing curriculum and program materials
• Creating referral resource banks
• Providing written reports on recommendations

Requirements

• An openness to working with people from varied backgrounds
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• A proficiency with Microsoft Office
• A commitment to completing 12 months of full-time service beginning September 8, 2026

Schedule

• 3 days in-office
• 2 days remote

• $68.39 daily living allowance during service period
