Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Makes sure schedules, budgets, accounts receivable, and manpower needs are monitored and invoices are prepared.
  • Develops Project Management plans for assigned projects.
  • Establishes project pricing and budgets.
  • Creates and maintains project schedules.
  • Develops and maintains project-specific quality plans.
  • Develops and coordinates project scope.
  • Manages subconsultants.
  • Participates in client presentations.
  • Oversees and manages assigned staff working on the project.
  • Manages all technical resources on the project team.
  • Develops extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.
  • Coordinates and assists Section Heads, Office Leaders, Service and Market Line Leaders with marketing proposals.
  • Has experience with stream/wetland assessment and design.
  • Has experience with wetland and forest stand delineation.
  • Has experience with hydrologic modeling using TR55/TR20 and Rational Methodologies.
  • Has experience with hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS.
  • Has experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation drafting.
  • Has experience with GIS using ArcMap.
  • Has experience with community engagement and landowner interaction.
  • Has experience with stream survey and assessment, including operating laser level survey equipment and sediment sampling procedures.
  • Has experience with joint permit coordination and application preparation.
  • Has experience with construction management/oversight.
  • Has the ability to travel.

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program.
  • 12+ years of experience designing ecological restoration/mitigation projects.
  • Professional Engineer Licensed in Florida.
  • Rosgen Level 4 Certified or similar River Course accreditation.

Preferred Experience

  • CAPM or PMP certification.
  • Experience working with local clients at the county and state level.
  • Project management and business development experience.
  • Experience with multiple project delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Full Delivery.
  • Experience managing multidiscipline project teams.
  • ESC Certification.
  • Experience working in Florida, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, and Virginia.
  • Strong relationships with the Regulatory community.
  • 2-D Modeling experience.
  • Stormwater Management design experience.
  • Erosion and Sediment Control design experience.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed within a general office environment 90% of the time.
  • Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
  • Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
  • Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
