ECMO Specialist RN
Job Summary
Baylor University Medical Center is seeking experienced ECMO Specialist RNs for their ECMO ICU. The ECMO Specialist is expected to perform critical tasks such as priming, initiating therapy, performing circuit exchanges, and managing ECLS components. This role also involves intra/inter hospital transport of ECLS patients.
Patient Population
The ECMO ICU primarily cares for patients undergoing various ECMO therapies including postcardiotomy syndrome, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, post heart/lung transplant, ARDS, and post cardiac arrest.

- 10 dedicated ECMO beds located within CTTICU
- Dedicated ICU physicians and ACNP coverage 24/7
- 100% certification rate (CCRN, CSC)
- Multiple research trials and publications
- One of two NTX ECMO programs with ECMO Specialist RN-led transport teams

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licenses/Certifications: RN – Registered Nurse, BLS – Basic Life Support, ACLS – American Heart Association, CCRN – through AACN
