ECMO Specialist - Ocala, FL - $7,500 Relocation Bonus! - Night Shift

Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid the physician, perfusionist, and/or other clinical staff in initiating, conducting, and concluding ECMO, along with related therapies.
• Ensure the integrity of the ECMO circuit during hand-offs and rounds, and adjust treatments as necessary based on blood gas values, anticoagulation parameters, and other lab results.
• Maintain the ECMO circuit's safety and security during patient handling, reducing the risk of circuit compromise through regular assessments.
• Titrate anticoagulation, analgesics, inotropes, and other infusions, order and administer blood products, and adjust ECMO pump flow and oxygenator gas flow as required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program, active RN license.
• Respiratory Therapist (RT) with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program, RRT certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Perfusion and CCP certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
• Superior knowledge of ECMO therapy, including circuit and pump operation, adjustments, anticoagulation management, and related policies.
