Echosonographers
Echosonographers specialize in the use of ultrasound technology to produce images of the heart and its surrounding structures. These images are used by physicians to diagnose and treat a wide range of heart conditions. Echosonographers work closely with cardiologists and other members of the healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Education
- Associate's degree or equivalent military training in the area of Biomedical Technology, Electronics, Computing or Imaging or Nuclear technology.
Work Experience
- 5 years for support or 0-2 years for professional
Licensure
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
