Echocardiography Technologist
About the role
Essentia Health is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist (Echo Tech) to join their team in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, life and accident insurance, a 401(k) plan, and more.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of echocardiographic studies in the echo lab, patient care units, procedural units, or surgical setting for patients.
- Provides measurement and image data to the Cardiologists for interpretation.
- The Echo Technologist may also perform other cardiovascular tests as required by Essentia Health Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.
Requirements
No educational requirements. Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International. New hire technologists must be registry eligible and become registered within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 month of hire or transfer.
Qualifications
- Must have Pediatric Echocardiography - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification for East Market.
- New hire technologists must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health's insurer (Not required for East Brainerd Lakes).
- Employees working in ND and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures must have current license on North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire/transfer.
Skills
Knowledge of echocardiography techniques, ability to interpret cardiac images, and proficiency in using ultrasound equipment.

$40.56 - $60.84 / hour FTE: 0.6 Weekends: call on weekends, call on holidays Call Obligations: Yes Sign On Bonus: Hiring Incentive Eligible!
