Role Overview This position involves performing diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams to identify abnormalities and support patient diagnosis. Key Responsibilities Conduct ultrasound procedures on internal organs and vessels, preparing exam rooms, obtaining patient history, and explaining procedures.Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, ensuring accurate images and documentation for physicians.Communicate thoroughly with patients, families, and healthcare teams, documenting information accurately and sharing relevant observations.Monitor equipment safety and reliability, report issues, maintain supplies, and assist with patient transport.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction, care, and workflow. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalentRegistered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS); new graduates must obtain certification within 18 monthsHealth Care Provider Life Support certificationPreferred: Associate’s degree and at least one year ultrasound experienceManual dexterity, effective communication, and physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment This full-time role is located at a hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, with a pay range of $38.77 to $59.82 hourly, based on experience.
