Echocardiography Tech II

Responsibilities

• Performs complete echocardiographic study integrating all patient data.
• Documents completely and accurately patient data through computer system.
• Affordably interprets information relative to the patient's age-specific needs.
• Performs exams in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Availability for occasional on-call status, weekend and holiday coverage, and later shifts is mandatory.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to function independently.
• Assists in the orientation and training of fellows, students, and visitors assigned to the Echocardiography Laboratory.
• Strong human relation and communication skills and consistently demonstrate sound judgment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI) required.
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer program or must have a minimum of 2 years cardiac sonographer experience including educational training.
• Certified in performing exercise, pharmacological, and bike echocardiograms after formal orientation in these specialties.

Pay

• $44.90 - $67.37 / hour.

Schedule

• Full Time
• Hours/Pay Period: 80
• Schedule Details: Five 8-hour shifts, rotating between early and late shifts. Includes rotating on-call, holiday and weekend coverage needed.
