Echocardiography Tech- FT

About the role

Performs diagnostic echo/vascular ultrasound procedures as outlined in policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Laboratory, including but not limited to Duplex imaging and/or echocardiography. May be cross-trained into other areas in the department.

Responsibilities

• Maintains compliance with Intersocietal Commission of Accreditation of Echo/Vascular Laboratory standards.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Vascular Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Ultrasonography program is preferred.
• One year of training/work experience including a variety of Vascular exams is preferred.
• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS RVT) or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) is required prior to being hired.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Qualifications

Minimum Training and Education: Graduation from an accredited Vascular Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Ultrasonography program is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered. One year of training/work experience including a variety of Vascular exams is preferred.
