Responsibilities

• Greets and confirms patients, assists with appropriate attire, explains procedure details, positions patient, and sets expectations.
• Selects and uses appropriate technical factors for the procedure based on patient characteristics.
• Processes completed images ensuring interpretability.
• Continuously develops professionally through continuing education and in-services.
• Complies with all system policies to deliver high-quality service.
• Performs adult echocardiography and stress/echo tests.
• Maintains work logs, provides preliminary reports, and collaborates with physicians to establish and meet protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Echocardiogram Technology program.

Requirements

• Licenses and Certifications: Reg Diagnostic Med Sonographer.
