Qualifications

• Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups
• Required Education: GED or High School Diploma
• PREFERRED Education: Graduate of a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer program
• Required Licensure/Certifications:
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • CCI or ARDMS, RDCS, required within one (1) year of hire or transfer date
• Amount of Experience: Less than one (1) year minimum
• PREFERRED Experience: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

Necessary Skills

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer/patient service, problem solving, time management and organizational skill, be a team player, excellent communication skills including telephone etiquette
• Ability to recognize life-threatening findings and notify physicians
• Ability to calculate test results
• Uses good body mechanics
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Serves as patient advocate
• Good organizational skills basic computer data entry

Licensure/Certifications

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• CCI or ARDMS required within one (1) year of hire or transfer date
