Echo/Vascular Technologist
Job Summary
As our Echo/Vascular Technologist, you will be a central figure in our diagnostic imaging team, expertly performing high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) scans to produce precise images critical for patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Every day, you will meticulously position patients, operate advanced CT scanning equipment according to physician orders and established protocols, and administer contrast media safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Meticulously position patients for CT scans and other diagnostic procedures.
- Operate advanced CT scanning equipment according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Administer contrast media safely and effectively.
- Perform a variety of procedures in the Echo lab, stress lab; including inpatient and outpatient studies across the spectrum of adult transthoracic echo, adult TEE, Stress Echo, contrast echo, bubble study.
- Provide technical leadership and expert instruction to Certified and Non-Credentialed cardiac sonographers within the ECHO/Cardiovascular Staff.
- Perform a variety of procedures in the Vascular lab, including but not limited to carotid Doppler, abdominal aortic ultrasound, renal artery Doppler, lower extremity arterial and venous procedures, and ABIs.
Requirements
- Required: 3 years acute care experience.
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire.
Qualifications
- Nationally recognized certification/licensure in Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Specialized advanced certification in CT.
- A profound understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and CT physics.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Dynamic, high-volume imaging environment.
