Essential Job Duties
- Counsels patients on the procedure and provides direct care to ensure accuracy and patient comfort.
- Recognizes artifacts, eliminates probable sources, and troubleshoots minor equipment problems.
- Processes images acquired from different modalities according to established policies and procedures.
- Performs data entry related to procedures, including charges pick lists, logbook, and schedule functions.
- Ensures radiation safety and maintains compliance with other staff and students.
- Obtains and analyzes pertinent clinical data, processes outcomes, and reports them in a timely manner.
- Organizes and runs quarterly meetings with providers/staff, handles audits requested by ICAEL, and maintains appropriate documentation to meet ICAEL requirements.
Educational/Experience Requirements
- Completion of accredited Echo course.
Required License/Certifications
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR certification within 90-days from date of hire.
- Specialized training in Echocardiology with ability to perform, measure, and preliminary interpret echocardiographic studies.
Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands
- The physical demands and work environment may expose employees to blood-borne pathogens.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range
$50 - $60 USD
