Responsibilities

• Use ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricles, and left atrium, and visualize blood flow.
• Assist the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
• Promote the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through appropriate utilization and management of clerical functions, including document handling, interpersonal relationships, and information gathering and dispersion.

Requirements

• Completion of Echocardiogram program within 90 days of hire or equivalent training.
• Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing.
• ARDMS or CCI certification required within 90 days of hire (effective July 1, 2017).
• Proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms for all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
