About the role
We are seeking a Pediatric Echocardiography Sonographer to join our team in Wilmington. This position involves performing pediatric and fetal echocardiograms, providing high-quality patient care, and supporting clinical education.
Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric cardiac ultrasound exams (TTE) following established protocols and guidelines set by IAC and the American Society of Echocardiography.
- Provide age- and developmentally appropriate care to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Assist cardiology fellows and students with clinical support.
- Load images into the Echo PACS system and complete preliminary reports.
- Select appropriate procedure codes for billing purposes.
- Provide on-call coverage during weekends, off-hours, and holidays as needed.
- Travel to satellite locations based on patient need.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound training program.
- Successful completion of the physics and technology exams from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Registered ARDMS (PE) or CCI certification required; registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within one year of hire.
- Registered ARDMS (FE) preferred.
- American Heart BLS certification required.

This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week.
