The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) is a friendly and lively urban K-12 school with 300 students located in Denver, Colorado. Founded in 1974, DWS is a fully accredited full member school of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America, the Waldorf Early Childhood Association, and the Association of Colorado Independent Schools.
Essential Job Duties
- Supervising children during outdoor play and daily activities.
- Serving as a support to the Lead Teacher and Lead Assistant with daily classroom routines and transitions.
- Assisting with classroom organization, setup, and cleanup.
- Building warm, meaningful relationships with the children.
- Nurturing the domestic, artistic, and rhythmic life of the classroom.
- Maintaining a beautiful, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Fostering a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Qualifications
- Meet Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) requirements.
- A genuine love of working with children ages 2 to 4½ years old.
- An interest in and appreciation for Waldorf education is preferred.
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours
The expected work schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
