About the role

An employee in this class provides support to the teacher in the instruction and personal care of students. A wide variety of tasks are performed to support the teacher in the teaching-learning process for students.

Responsibilities

• Supports the teacher in the instruction and personal care of students.
• Performs a wide variety of tasks to support the teaching-learning process.
• Works under the limited supervision of the teacher and/or principal.

Requirements

• Knowledge of educational principles and practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Ability to assist in classroom management and discipline.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to student care and support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
