Eastman - Palletizer Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate pallet inverter and automatic palletizer safely.
• Check inventory, locations, WIP, and production schedule to accurately retrieve material from job packet pick lists.
• Safely move material to and from storage, machines, and finished goods areas.
• Operate forklift to transport materials to and from storage areas, workstations, and within other assigned areas.
• Load, transport, unload, and stack materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform housekeeping duties in work area, including sweeping, mopping, picking up, and disposing of trash.
• Collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
• Communicate non-compliance and/or quality problems to supervisor.
• Read and understand material labels and work orders.
• Comply with safety rules and requirements.
• Comply with forklift training requirements.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. Driver’s license required.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work 8 or 12-hour shifts, including overnight and weekend shifts.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including extra hours on short notice.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks during shift and meet reasonable expectations.
• Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
• Climbing ladders and/or stairways.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and up to 50 lbs. frequently for up to 12 hours.
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
• Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
• Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to steel toe shoes, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnet, and beard net if applicable).
• Ability to use hand truck, drum dolly, and electric pallet jack as needed.
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
