East Gulf Alternative Delivery Roadway Design Lead
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as the Roadway Discipline Lead for East Gulf Alternative Delivery projects
- Provide technical leadership, design oversight, and hands-on roadway production support
- Lead preparation of roadway plan sets including plans, profiles, cross sections, and detail sheets
- Develop specifications, calculate quantities, and prepare construction cost estimates
- Collaborate with DOT clients, design-build partners, and subconsultants
- Collaborate across disciplines in a team-based delivery environment
- Mentor and develop roadway staff
What You Need To Have
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); Alabama and/or Tennessee preferred
- 20+ years of roadway design experience
- Extensive experience with DOT major highway and interstate projects
- Proven Alternative Delivery (Design-Build, CM/GC, etc.) experience required
- Proficiency in MicroStation; OpenRoads Designer preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment

About the Role
This role may be based in Alabama or Tennessee, or candidates must be willing to relocate to one of our offices in either state.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with project management software
- Knowledge of local and state building codes and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
