About the role

Under the supervision of the Management team, the Overnight Supervisor provides daily direction to the Outfitters on the overnight shift within the retail store. Responsibilities include sales floor replenishment, merchandise presentation, seasonal resets, inventory management, and price change execution.

Responsibilities

  • Delegates tasks and work assignments to team members by giving clear and concise direction and follow up to ensure proper execution.
  • Ensures adherence to all standard operating procedures and processes by team members, following up to provide training and guidance when needed.
  • Maintains visual presentation standards including in-store signage, proper execution of merchandise directives and planograms, merchandise recovering/front facing, and general daily recovery to ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
  • Ensures nightly replenishment of sales floor from backstock inventory, as well as new replenishment from Distribution Centers and direct vendor deliveries.
  • Supports inventory management in partnership with the Inventory Control team by completing on-demand counts, empty peg scanning, pick requests, and display integrity checks during off-peak overnight hours.
  • Supports the Management team with coordination of all "Special Events," maintenance of pricing and UPC integrity, determining proper assortments, accuracy of inventory, and proper display, tagging, signing, and pricing of all advertised items.
  • Supports the Management team in carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning and directing work, performance evaluation, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Assists the Management team and Human Resources in staffing the department with service-oriented associates; participates in interviewing, coordinates training, consults on performance appraisals, prepares weekly work schedules, and coaches associates to promote positive customer relations.
  • Ensures all breaks and lunches are provided for overnight Outfitters in accordance with state and local regulations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of retail experience.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts.

Skills

  • Ability to read and analyze reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from managers, employees, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to conduct meetings and presentations.
  • Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and inventory management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, employees, customers, and management.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular computer work, walking, and standing.
  • Occasional sitting and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $21.00 - $23.75 per hour.
