About the role

The Early Morning Stock Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This position requires a high level of attention to safety and customer service, as well as the ability to perform various tasks across different areas of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and practices safety as the top priority.
  • Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment by being aware of the sales floor and reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Treats all customers and associates with respect and courtesy, recognizing fellow associates through company recognition programs.
  • Assists customers by greeting them, answering questions, and performing register transactions.
  • Responds promptly and efficiently to customer service calls, addressing issues in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Represents the company brand and adheres to loss prevention policies.
  • Performs daily cleaning tasks and maintains a professional appearance.
  • Manages inventory and follows company best practices for sizing and recovery.
  • Follows policies and procedures for cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions.
  • Expedites new merchandise receipts and merchandises items according to company guidelines.
  • Understands and applies the Loss Prevention Awareness program and Shortage Highway.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

  • Effective communication with customers and associates.
  • Basic mathematical calculations common in retail environments.

Physical Requirements/ADA

  • Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to lift and push/pull more than 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
