Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment by practicing safe behaviors and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy, greeting them with a smile and saying "hello" and "thank you."
• Assist Customers in any way necessary, including merchandise assistance, answering questions, and handling register transactions.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a neat and organized store.
• Manage inventory by expediting receipts, merchandising items, and understanding loss prevention policies.
• Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all interactions with Customers and Associates.
• Follow all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions.

Qualifications and Special Skills

• Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative, and pleasant manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Physical requirements include spending up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, carrying, reaching, and stooping.
• Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move more than 20 pounds for Stockroom shifts.
