About the role
Aid in providing educational services to low-income and special needs children, alongside a classroom teacher.
Responsibilities
- Assist with assessments and individualizations
- Design and implement daily lesson plans
- Set up and maintain a developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Maintain records including child observation notes, lesson plan notes, and attendance
- Follow bus safety protocols
- Ensure a safe environment and provide continuous supervision
- Use a PBIS approach to guide children
- Greet children and escort them to the classroom
- Prepare and gather materials under teacher's direction
- Participate in parent Open Houses and childcare at monthly meetings
- Conduct developmental screenings as needed

Requirements
- Education and Experience:
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Associates or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Experience in early childhood education or comparable group care programs
- Skills and Abilities:
- Positive interaction with diverse families
- Positive behavior intervention and support skills
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Driver’s license and insurance
- Criminal background check
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Working Conditions:
