Essential Functions
- Affords support in all aspects of program management in health (collecting health-related information, conducting health screenings for children and parents/guardians, training for parents/guardians, coordinating staff development, etc.) to ensure enrolled children and families receive appropriate services in accordance with departmental and governmental standards.
- Delivers individualized and group health training (for children and pregnant women) to ensure the health needs of children and their families are met.
- Maintains a variety of files and records (family and child health and dental records, etc.) to provide up-to-date references and comply with regulatory requirements and established guidelines.
- Maintains oversight of health services (child health assessment data, etc.) to ensure performance outcomes are achieved within budget, department, and district objectives.
- Coordinates and participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars (annual self-assessments, Health Services Advisory Committee, etc.) to convey and/or gather information required to perform functions.
- Prepares a wide variety of written materials (reports, memos, records, letters, health plans, contracts, etc.) to document activities, provide written reference, and/or convey information.
- Processes documents and materials (assessments, evaluations, informational materials, contracts, etc.) to disseminate information to appropriate parties.
- Provides technical assistance to Head Start center/child care staff (current EHS/HS guidelines, etc.) to ensure services are delivered in compliance with established guidelines.
- Researches a variety of information (latest licensure requirements, EHS/HS guidelines, community resources, etc.) to deliver services in compliance with established guidelines.
- Responds to inquiries (health screenings, assistance requested, etc.) to resolve problems, provide information, and/or refer to appropriate personnel.
- Works as a liaison between various agencies and service providers (Health Department, medical services for children, etc.) to ensure developmentally appropriate, timely, and safe delivery of health-related services to EHS/HS children with or without disabilities.

Requirements
- College degree in Public Health, Nursing/Medical Assistant, Health Education, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in public health, nursing, health education, maternal and child health or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Sometimes lifts, carries, pushes, and/or pulls, stoops, kneels, crouches, and/or crawls.
- Often sits, walks, and stands.
