About the role
Early Head Start Assistant Teacher at Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Community Services, provides a safe, secure, and supportive environment for children aged 0-5. The position supports the Teacher in developing a quality learning environment that engages children in learning.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Teacher in implementing curriculum and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Develops lesson plans based on individual children's interests and needs.
- Maintains appropriate and regular communication with families.
- Ensures safety practices to minimize risks of accidents and injuries.
- Collaborates with the Teacher to enhance children's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or older with a High School Diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).
- Meet the requirements established by the regulatory agency for the state in which employed.
Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $17.25-$19.25 per hour, dependent on education and Illinois Gateways to Opportunity Credential attainment. Additional details regarding this project will be discussed upon interview.
