Early Education - PreK Teacher

About This Role

Broad Bay Manor School in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a qualified Early Education - PreK Teacher to work with Preschool (3–5) in a center-based environment. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and implement provided Manor School curriculum
• Individualize lessons for each child
• Create and maintain a positive learning environment
• Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
• Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals
• Track children’s progress and adjust as needed
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom
• Help children reach developmental milestones
• Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans
• Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
• Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times
• Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytelling
• Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures

Requirements

• Prior professional teaching experience with young children
• High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional references
• Understanding of child development
• High energy
• Able to work well with others

Benefits
