About the role

The Early Clinical Trial Physician sits within China Clinical Development, which is dedicated to the effective design and execution of drug development. Clinical Development drives clinical development strategy, design, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials. This role will serve as a primary source of medical accountability and oversight for multiple clinical trials. In this role, the clinical trials physician will manage early development clinical trials, including Phase 1 First-in-Human (FIH) studies (e.g., SAD/MAD, dose escalation/expansion), with demonstrated decision-making capabilities, and ensure strong cross-functional collaboration and global alignment across clinical, regulatory, safety, and operational stakeholders. He/she will provide medical and scientific expertise to cross-functional BMS colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage early development clinical trials, including Phase 1 First-in-Human (FIH) studies (e.g., SAD/MAD, dose escalation/expansion)

Requirements

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics
  • Experience in clinical research and/or clinical trials management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
