About the role

Join the founding team of The Gardner School’s brand‑new preschool in Hingham, MA as an EEC Certified Teacher. You will work in purposefully designed classrooms equipped with the latest early‑childhood education tools and technology, and help build a warm, engaging environment rooted in the core values of Children First, Trust, Innovation, and Making a Difference.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire your classroom with creativity, care, and excellence.
• Mentor assistant teachers and model The Gardner School’s core values.
• Build meaningful relationships with families and children.
• Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that spark curiosity.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and a joyful classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related; or High school diploma plus EEC Lead Teacher Certification and 36 months experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• At least 2 years of early childhood education experience (lead or co‑lead preferred).
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Skills

• Intermediate PC skills and proficiency with general administrative tasks.
• Physical ability to stand, sit on the floor, bend, and lift up to approximately 60 lb.
• Strong communication skills: read, write, speak, and understand English fluently for interaction with students, families, and staff, as well as for curriculum implementation and reporting.
• Ability to fulfill cognitive and interpersonal aspects of classroom leadership, including focusing attention and building relationships.

Pay

Starting pay range is $21.25‑$26.25 per hour, based on education and experience.
