About the Role
We are looking for energetic, nurturing, and creative Early Childhood Teachers to join our team! You'll create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where children from infancy through first grade can learn, grow, and thrive.
Job Responsibilities
- Build positive, responsive relationships with children and families.
- Provide nurturing care that supports each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Comfort infants, celebrate milestones, and encourage independence in older children.
- Communicate daily with families regarding children's experiences and progress.
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Support learning through play, exploration, music, movement, art, literacy, STEM, and outdoor experiences.
- Observe and document children's growth and development.
- Adapt activities to meet individual needs and developmental levels.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment.
- Follow all Minnesota Rule 3 licensing requirements, center policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Supervise children at all times.
- Follow appropriate diapering, toileting, handwashing, meal service, and sanitation procedures.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and complete required documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
- Contribute positively to a supportive team culture.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet or be willing to obtain Minnesota Rule 3 qualifications for the position of Teacher, Assistant Teacher, or Aide, as applicable, including age, education, experience, training, and background study requirements.
Preferred
- Degree, credential, CDA, or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners, or school-age children.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 40 pounds.
- Bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children.
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities year-round.
